Ranked 16 out of 42!


Thank you to everyone who has played the demo so far! SBIG Jam has officially ended, and we scored 16 out of 42! Not bad! Last year we were 33 out of 43 lol. The highlight is that we scored #2 in Sound! Which was the same as last year for 1 Press Button, and we did better than last year in "Overall Good" at 15 (last year was 29), but certainly not as good as 2020's entry of RE/COUNT RE:VERSE where we scored #3 in that department. Overall though, we did better than the last two years, which makes me happy as our first entry in the first annual jam, Crystal Captor, still is a hard act to follow. I doubt we'll ever get a #1 ranking again, but I do hope next year we can try to reach the Top 10! This year, we were just a little bit closer to that goal ^^

Overall, twas a fun jam and my brother and I accomplished making an original first person shooter albeit it on the Doom Engine, it was a lot of fun, and don't worry, we have more to come! Stay tuned, as the full build will include:

  • Adjustments to the current weapons to not be as weak as they are
  • Adding armour pick-ups
  • Improving and expanding upon Level 1 with more NPCs, puzzles, and secrets!
  • 3 new levels with banging  MIDIs to go with them
  • Maybe a secret level???? (tentative)
  • More voice acting, more outrageous NPCs, and all that fun stuff!

We plan to get the final build out before the year is over, so stay tuned!
